Stanley Milgram’s experiments were conducted in the 1960s. The most well-known of these experiments involved participants being instructed to administer what they believed to be increasingly painful electric shocks to another person. The study aimed to investigate the willingness of participants to obey authority figures, even when their actions caused harm to others.
