2024 Article Newsletter Volume 2
Welcome to February 2024 article update newsletter. We are continuing to work on format, creating topic groupings at the website, displaying expertise in certain areas of the vast realm of psychology. Many of the new articles are gateway articles to particular topics (trauma, cognition, self-improvement, etc…). The underlying concept is to make the website both friendly for users and Google crawlers.
A few articles of note. Catatonia is an interesting topic. The physical state of catatonia is related to the controversial term “excited delirium” occasionally cited in law enforcement. catatonic states present a danger and difficulty for those required to deal with them. Another topic briefly covered in the past in connection with addiction recovery articles is Carlos DiClemente’s stages of change. The stages apply to all life changes. The last article of note is a gateway article on human suffering. While we like to put on a smile and pretend all is well, underneath we all experience some suffering. It is the nature of life.
